Death In The Desert

A small cluster of vehicles is huddled in the middle of the desert. Nothing nearby but a giant slab of concrete with a hole in the middle of it.

Medics in white and other medical personnel with a stretcher stand near a figure on the ground. A nurse looks on. Other troops are occupied in other duties in this small cluster of vehicles.

Five Army Jeeps, and Army truck, soldiers, medics, two cowboys and a mysterious figure in a fedora hat.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is responsible for investigating all major crimes on Federal lands, including Army bases. Here a field agent interviews two cowboys. With the Vice President on base, every crime takes on a new and potentially sinister aspect to it. Some have suspected the Soviets of planning to decapitate the nation just prior to a pre-emptive atomic attack. Kill the President, Vice President and other top officials to paralyze the nation and buy time for the big Bear bombers to fly from Siberia to drop atomic bombs on the heartland of America.

Here in the lonely desert of the American Southwest a major crime may have been committed. A soldier has been found dead. His body mutilated terribly. The FBI is on the case.
